Watch: Mayhem in Bengaluru! Rohit Sharma-Rinku Singh slam 36 runs in an over to equal T20I record

NEW DELHI: In a remarkable display of batting prowess, star Indian batters Rohit Sharma and Rinku Singh etched their names in T20I history by matching the record for the highest number of runs scored off a single over.

The final five overs of the match witnessed a spectacular display of power-hitting as India accumulated a staggering 103 runs. Rohit and the left-handed Rinku in particular stole the show by smashing an incredible 36 runs off Afghanistan's Karim Janat's final over of the innings, which included a six off a no-ball.

Rohit opened the over with a stunning four, and followed it up with consecutives sixes off a no-ball and on a free hit. Rohit then took a single off the third ball of the over, handing the baton to Rinku, who hit three humongous back-to-back sixes off the final three balls.
