Lee Corso has been a part of ESPN’s College GameDay ever since the beginning, and he started a tradition that many fans love to follow. When Corso makes his pick for the game of the week, he uses props — often headgear — to compliment who he believes will win the game.
It all started at an Ohio State game over twenty years ago, and the first-ever head gear he put on was the Brutus Buckeye head. It’s all come full circle now.
That’s because Corso whipped the crowd in Columbus into a frenzy when he talked about what Ohio State and Brutus Buckeye means to him vs. what the Catholic in him feels about Notre Dame. According to Corso, it was the hardest pick he ever had to make.
Watch as Corso makes his pick and delights the crowd by slipping the Brutus head on one more time, effectively staking his claim to who would win on Saturday in the top-five matchup in primetime.

For our sake, we can only hope that Corso is correct and that Ohio State starts out on the right foot in game one for what we all believe could be a special season.
