The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has taken the decisive step of suspending all leagues following a disgraceful incident that occurred during Ankaragucu's Super Lig home match against Rizespor as Ankaragucu's president, Faruk Koca, physically assaulted referee Halil Umut Meler by punching him in the face after the final whistle blew.

The incident took place after Rizespor scored a 97th-minute equalizer in the 1-1 draw at Eryaman Stadium on Monday, as captured by footage from state broadcaster TRT.
