Kieran Trippier got way more than he bargained for when he headed to massive Halloween event Psycho Path at the weekend, with organisers' bleep machine going into overdrive as the Newcastle United captain was left swearing in terror by the sinister characters who lay in wait for him.
Psycho Path has now been sending a shiver down the spin of brave revellers for four years, after making its chilling debut at Lintz Hall Farm in Burnopfield in 2018. The event's Fearground has been getting bigger and bigger with each new year and there are plenty of frights in store for those who dare venture there this time round.
Among those who have put the best foot forward and fearfully walked into the unknown is Magpies' skipper Kieran, a big money signing from Atletico Madrid at the start of 2022. Kieran followed in the footsteps of a number of Geordie celebs when he arrived at Lintz Hall Farm on Friday, with no clue what to expect.
The England international was handed a selfie stick to capture his reactions to the various scares he was confronted with as he embarked upon Cutthroat Island, Psycho Path's new pirate ship attraction. And the results make for hilarious viewing as a visibly frightened and rather concerned looking Kieran drops the F-bomb on numerous occasions, with him screaming: "What the f**k was that?" as a character dives out from the shadows beside him.
He was also singled out for special attention as one of the scare actors shouts: "Hello KIeran! I've been waiting for you. Where do you think you're going?!"
After asking: "Is that it?" more than once, Kieran finally made it out alive and, doing a piece to camera remarked: "There were people touching me ankles, but I'm came out injury free," adding: "it's different, I'll tell you that. They're coming out of every hole...everywhere. The one in the graveyard scared me the most. He was crawling on his back!"
*psycho Path is running at Lintz Hall Farm to the end of the month, with tickets still available HERE.
