Hollywood actor John Travolta left his Irish fans scratching their heads as he made an attempt at an Irish accent in a video posted to social media.
The Grease and Pulp Fiction star posted a video to Instagram charting his journey from Florida to Shannon Airport and at the end of the clip, he decided to don an Irish accent (or something that was supposed to resemble one, at least).
The star is licensed to fly 11 different jets and first got his license when he was just 22.
Revealing that he was heading to Ireland for "business", he thanked his followers for supporting his daughter's new music: "I’ve arrived safely in Ireland and I just wanted to take this moment to thank you for all your support for Ella's song Dizzy. It's is a big success. We’re very proud of it and that’s all because of you."
He then went on to take on an Irish accent when saying: "As the Irish say, life is what you make it, isn't it? Ah it is, it is."
John did not reveal what brought him to Ireland other than it being a "business" trip.
Based on the video posted to his Instagram account, it looks like he is staying at the 5-Star Dromoland Castle in County Clare.
Rooms at the luxury hotel start at €450 per night. There is also The Brian Boru Suite which costs €1,400 per night.
