Tennessee Titans defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons is one of the strongest players in the NFL – and if you don’t believe me, just ask Houston Texans offensive lineman, Kenyon Green.
The poor rookie was matched up against Simmons in the first quarter of the Week 8 game when the Texans handed the ball off to running back Dameon Pierce, who was met with the backside of his own teammate after Simmons absolutely manhandled Green on the play.
Making Simmons’ domination even more impressive is the fact that Big Jeff comes into this game playing injured. He didn’t practice all week and was questionable before suiting up today.

What’s even more hilarious about this is Simmons didn’t even touch Pierce, yet he gets credited with a tackle and a tackle for loss.
Prior to Tennessee’s Week 7 game against the Indianapolis Colts, guard Quenton Nelson called Simmons one of the strongest players he has ever faced, if not the strong.
“It’s [Simmons’] power and then the way he plays the game,” Nelson said, per The Athletic’s Stephen Holder. “He plays hard. He’s got a motor. He’s one of the strongest if not THE strongest D-tackles I’ve gone against. And he’s not one dimensional. He can hit you with the pass rush or in the run game. He’s definitely the heart of that defense.”
