Former Rangers loanee James Sands was involved in a furious bust-up with New York City FC fans as the captain confronted angry punters as his side’s form continues to nosedive.
The skipper, who returned across the Big Pond after his spell at Ibrox was cut short when Michael Beale opted not to take up the club’s option to sign him permanently, was caught on video in a heated exchange with fans in the stand following a 3-1 defeat at home to Cincinnati.
A video clip was uploaded to social media showing his reaction to supporters who turned on Sands and his beleaguered team-mates who haven’t won in a month in the MLS and have slumped to six defeats in their last seven games.
