It was a hare-raising rescue.
A fluffy bunny was spotted on the loose in the city centre on Saturday and Glaswegians had to hop into action to help save it.
Locals first detected the rotund rabbit bouncing around Drury Street near the GoMA with no human friend in sight.
Twitter user @Xiphos_YT wrote that he had seen "a baby rabbit in the middle of Glasgow city centre".
The rabbit was later spotted hiding out underneath a car outside Gaucho Glasgow on West Nile Street, with restaurant staff doing everything the could to coax the cottontail out from its hiding spot.
“Only in Glasgow does it take six people and two police to get a bunny from under a car," TikTok user Emma Scott commented alongside a video on the social media app.
Police had to comb the area and passerby came together to assist Gaucho employees in catching the tiny creature. Luckily the rabbit was rescued - thanks to a determined bartender.
TikTok user Fayps commented below Emily's video: "Okay inside scoop, the one who caught it is the bartender from my work who crawled under twi cars because the bunny wouldn't sit still, on shift"
Emily responded: "The whole ordeal was incredible the cheer when she caught it."
We're so happy the bartender managed to catch the critter - and we're hop-timistic the rabbit got home safe.
