One of Georgia football’s offseason traditions is taking its annual trip to Camp Sunshine.
The pandemic has kept the Bulldogs from making their usual trip, but on Monday, multiple players took the opportunity to make the visit for the first time since 2019.
The camp helps Georgia’s children with cancer and their families through year-round recreational, educational and support programs.

“Camp Sunshine has always been special to Georgia Football,” Georgia assistant director of player developments Austin Chambers shared in a Twitter post. “Glad we were able to finally make it back for the first time since 2019. All these kids have an amazing story and live their life to the fullest despite the circumstances they have been dealt!”
The Bulldogs have made multiple community outreach efforts this offseason like their visit to Camp Sunshine. Several players have held youth football camps and other outreach activities around the Athens area.
Football is king in The Classic City, and players realize the role they can play in helping develop the next generation.
