Tara Singh India Pakistan Sunny Deol World Cup Asia Cup 2023 England New Delhi ODI World Cup

NEW DELHI: The highly anticipated Asia Cup 2023 is set to witness a thrilling face-off between arch-rivals India and Pakistan. It will be the first time in more than four years that the two teams will meet in an ODI match. The last encounter between India and Pakistan in the 50-over format took place during the 2019 ODI World Cup in England.

This much-awaited clash is scheduled to take place on September 2 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele, Sri Lanka. Both teams are placed in Group A of the tournament. The Asia Cup is not just an important competition in itself, but it also holds great significance as a preparation platform for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023, which will be hosted by India starting from October 5.
