Watch: French jets salute US anniversary with Washington flyover

France's elite Patrouille de France aerobatic team took to the skies above Washington, D.C. on Monday, performing a ceremonial flyover across some of the US capital's most recognisable landmarks.

The aircraft passed over sites including the National Mall, Arlington National Cemetery and Mount Vernon, offering striking aerial views of the city and its historic monuments.
