All of us who call ourselves sports fans probably remember meeting our heroes in the days of our youth. Heck, some of us still stalk those same players for photos and autographs.
One young Chicago Bears fan got to meet his idol, former Ohio State QB Justin Fields. This young man absolutely didn’t waste his opportunity to let Fields know he is his biggest fan, dressed in full uniform with Fields’ signature No. 1 jersey, including pads and helmet. At one point, the boy even raises his helmet to let Justin know he’s even wearing a headband just like his favorite player.
It has to be a good feeling to know that you are inspiring the next generation and bringing so much joy. And Fields seems to embrace the moment, smiling from ear to ear while signing everything the super fan had and posing for pictures.

Beyond the wins and losses, this is the kind of thing that makes sports so special. And this will be a memory that this young man will hold onto for the rest of his life.
