WATCH: Former Baltimore TE Dennis Pitta helps Ravens mascot Poe prepare for 2024 season

The Ravens spent five weeks of training camp and three preseason games preparing for a massive 2024 regular season, and their mascot, Poe, wasn’t that far behind.

Since hatching in 1998, Poe and the Ravens have gone together like crab cakes and football! · Other than football, Poe’s favorite kind of ball is a goofball.

The Ravens selected Dennis Pitta in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL draft. Pitta suffered a hip injury in 2013 and was in and out of the lineup until 2016, when he set a career-high in receiving yards.

Another injury ended Pitta’s playing career in 2017, but he’s stayed a fixture in Baltimore and recently did his part to ensure POE was ready for the regular season.

In this hilarious video from Levy’s Restaurant, Pitta helps Poe preparing for the season by watching Poe perform some drills on the field and providing a scouting report at the end as Pitta eats some “ravenous chicken tenders.

Levy, the leading food, beverage and hospitality brand in sports, celebrates the return of football with a flavor-packed campaign featuring some of the game’s top talent training for greatness in unexpected ways. From the gridiron to the grill, this hits taste buds right on the numbers.

When initially unveiled, Poe was one of three costumed mascots, all raven brothers named “Edgar,” “Allan,” and “Poe.” Because the Baltimore Ravens were named after the poem “The Raven” by Baltimore resident Edgar Allan Poe, it was natural that the team name their mascots after Poe himself.
