NEW DELHI: India made a brilliant start in the one-off Test against Australia at the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday as the visitors lost 2 wickets as early as in the second over of the match.
On the last ball of the first over, Phoebe Litchfield was run out after a misunderstanding with Beth Mooney, who tapped a delivery by Renuka Singh to the right of backward point and Jemimah Rodrigues had ample time to sense the opportunity at the batting end as Litchfield was ball-watching instead of responding to Mooney's call and running to the other end. Rodrigues threw the ball to the keeper Yastika Bhatia who removed the bails as Litchfield collected a diamond duck.
