Draymond Green suffered an ankle sprain during the early stages of the Golden State Warriors training camp. The veteran forward missed Golden State’s preseason contests as a result. In recent days, Green has reportedly begun working out in 3-on-3 settings, and he was promoted to 5-on-5 action on Sunday, Oct. 22.
As such, eagle-eyed Warriors fans were searching for footage of their defensive lynchpin as he faces a race against time to be ready for his team’s Oct. 24 season opener against the Phoenix Suns. Those fans were rewarded when a clip of Green working out with some of Golden State’s coaches surfaced online.
[Holmes+Andrews] “Draymond Green is moving around well in his post-practice workout. We should get an update on his status for Tuesday’s opener soon” “Draymond getting some work in at the end of practice – moving well. Head trainer Rick Celebrini is on the baseline watching closely” (0:33)

Green recently signed a four-year $100 million contract extension with the Warriors. The veteran forward will likely spend the final years of his career in the Bay Area. He will be integral to his team’s chances of lifting a fifth championship. However, the upcoming game against Phoenix may come a little too soon for him to participate.
