Taoiseach Micheál Martin tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday and will not attend the White House for an in-person meeting with US President Joe Biden.

It emerged Mr Martin was positive late on Wednesday night during a gala event.

The event was for Ireland Funds gala and up 800 people were in attendance.
