It's one of the fiercest derbies in world football and on Friday Dinamo and Steau Bucharaest traded blows both on and off the park.
So much so, the clash between the famed Romanian clubs' descended into madness on Friday night with ultras on both sides sparking a running battle before kick-off and during the interval. The National Arena became the scene of unceremonious battles on both sides. There were chairs being lobbed before fire extinguishers were set off amid the visitors' 2-1 win.
And the most shocking footage captured both teams and a deluge of riot police stepping in as objects were thrown within the concourses. The frightening footage is understood to show ultras from both teams trading blows amid a sea of smoke bombs. It also appeared troublemakers from above the main section were raining down objects. The 'Eternal Derby' at senior level has been the scene of many battles between supporters over the years and Friday's encounter, attended by 17,000 supporters, showed tensions remain high even when senior stars are not performing on the pitch.
And the latest flashpoint was captured in stunning footage which caught the melee spilling over amid intervention from the police.
