The New England Patriots struggled to get highlights in the first half of Saturday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. However, a big play from Devin McCourty gave them at least a little hope towards the end of the first half.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was looking for wide receiver Tyler Boyd, and McCourty was able to read the play and pick off the pass for the interception. New England was unable to do anything with the interception on the ensuing offense drive, but it gave the New England defense hope in what has been a difficult afternoon.
That was McCourty’s third interception of the season and his first interception since October 30 against the New York Jets.

The Patriots were challenged by Cincinnati’s offense all afternoon, but McCourty’s interception gave the indication that the defense will not go down without a fight.
