Michigan State football opened the season with a victory over Western Michigan on Friday night in front of a packed Spartan Stadium.
The Spartans were led offensively by newcomer running back Jalen Berger and their young wide receivers corps. Defensively, it was linebacker Jacoby Windmon who starred for Michigan State with four sacks in his first game as a Spartan.
