The Los Angeles Lakers were frustrated after their uninspired 130-112 loss to a poor Brooklyn Nets team on Friday. They took the court on Sunday evening looking to make things right again against an even worse Portland Trail Blazers team.
Early on, Los Angeles was on its game. It had its way with Portland on the offensive end of the court, particularly in transition.
On one play, LeBron James knocked a loose ball on defense to guard D’Angelo Russell to start a fast break. Russell had a clear path to the hoop on a breakaway, but with James trailing, he decided to bounce a pass off the floor to James for a highlight dunk.

That field goal accounted for two of the Lakers’ 19 fast-break points in the first half, which allowed it to go up 67-54 at halftime.
