Watch classic Minis being converted into electric vehicles in the MINI Recharged project

CLASSIC Mini owners will soon be able to ensure their cars are fit for the future by getting them converted into EVs.

The MINI Recharged project sees a dedicated team from the Oxford factory swap the original petrol engine for an electric powertrain.

It follows the hugely positive reaction to a one-off, classic Mini Electric that was built in 2018 and presented at the New York Auto Show.
