The Kansas City Chiefs’ receivers have been a bit inconsistent to start the 2023 season, but the team hasn’t exhausted all their options at the position heading into the middle part of their schedule.
Second-year pass catcher Justyn Ross was a game-breaking part of the Chiefs’ offense in the preseason but has been relegated to a minor role in Kansas City’s first five games.
Buy Chiefs TicketsThis leaping catch he made on a Patrick Mahomes pass on Sunday could change Andy Reid’s calculus later in the Chiefs’ Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, and force the issue to get him more snaps.

While one reception will hardly push Ross to the top of the Chiefs’ depth chart, it may warrant more looks for him on the boundary as Kansas City sorts out its pecking order at receiver through the middle part of its schedule.
Watch for Ross’ contributions to be the object of much more speculation in the coming weeks.
