Patrick Mahomes wasted no time putting the Kansas City Chiefs on top against the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday after finding rookie Rashee Rice for his first touchdown of the day.
The score came after a touchdown catch by veteran receiver Justin Watson was called back after review in the red zone on Kansas City’s first drive. When play resumed, Mahomes hit Rice on a quick pass to the left side that left plenty of space for his first-year wideout to find the end zone.

Kicker Harrison Butker had no problem converting the extra point after the touchdown, and the Chiefs’ seven-point lead was defended well by Kansas City’s defense when Miami took the field for its first drive on offense.
Expect Mahomes to continue looking Rice’s way in the red zone after this confidence-boosting play gave the Chiefs an early lead in this must-win matchup.
