The defense of the Cleveland Browns had a bad start to the first half against the Seattle Seahawks before recovering in the second quarter. After a Cleveland punt, Seattle drove down the field to try and end the half with points but corner Martin Emerson Jr. ended those chances with an interception.
Emerson Jr. had been picked on some allowing a couple of big plays but read that final play perfectly and jumped the route to end the Seahawks drive. The defense will need to figure things out as the offense has begun to show signs of life. After two early turnovers, the Browns find themselves down by only three points heading into the second half.
It has been a battle between Emerson Jr. and DK Metcalf so far and it truly has been a lot of fun to watch. The defensive line is getting close but they will need to step it up and get to Geno Smith in the second half.
