Through 15 games this season, Kyren Williams has racked up 1,243 yards on the ground, which ranks third in the NFL behind only Saquon Barkley and Derrick Henry. Yet, he’s not even among the top-10 vote-getters at the position for the 2024 Pro Bowl.
He’s not getting the love he deserves as one of the best running backs in football, but NFL Network’s Brian Baldinger is giving him his flowers. Williams was the focal point of Baldinger’s film breakdown on Monday and the former lineman raved about Kyren’s game.
He didn’t just focus on Williams’ rushing ability, either. He highlighted all the dirty work Williams does, particularly as a pass blocker.
“Kyren Williams is such a complete back in everything that he does,” Baldinger said, showing a perfect blitz pickup by the Rams’ star running back. “He’s just a punishing runner after contact. Punishing.”
.@RamsNFL @nyjets @Kyrenwilliams23 is a beast. Leads the NFL with 303 carries…And does everything well…has helped carry the TEAM to 1st in the NFC WEST. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/lntv7RCGZs

Williams was dominant against the Jets, rushing for 122 yards on 23 carries. He also continued to help out in pass protection, excelling in that department once again. His physicality is what makes him such a key contributor for Los Angeles and his impact during the team’s four-game winning streak has been immeasurable.
He may not get the love that Henry, Barkley and Jahmyr Gibbs get, but Williams is undeniably one of the best all-around backs in football.
