England captain Ben Stokes came up with such an excellent display of mind-presence to dismiss his Aussie counterpart Pat Cummins in the last over of the second day of the 5th Ashes Test at The Oval.
Cummins pulled a Joe Root delivery to long-on. Stokes took the catch overhead with a jump, realised he was going to cross the rope, so released the ball and quickly recovered to take it on the second attempt and ensuring he was not in contact with the rope.
Stumps was drawn after the dismissal with Australia taking a 12-run first-innings lead at stumps on Day 2 in the final Ashes Test which England must win to level the series.
