New England Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe was put into Sunday’s game under extraordinary circumstances. With Brian Hoyer out due to injury, the rookie managed to at least steady the ship.
He threw his first touchdown pass in the process of doing so.
The touchdown was a floater to DeVante Parker, who snagged the pass and ran into the end zone for six points. This was Parker’s first touchdown catch of the season, and it gave the Patriots a 17-14 lead.
The touchdown is another notch in Parker’s belt, as he is coming off a 156-yard receiving game against the Baltimore Ravens last week.

With the New England Patriots playing the role of underdogs, they have managed to make things interesting in the unfriendly confines of Lambeau Field.
