Team USA is preparing for the upcoming FIBA World Cup, where it hopes to capture the gold medal and avenge a very poor showing in the previous competition in 2019.
Los Angeles Lakers standout Austin Reaves is one of the players on the roster, and head coach Steve Kerr has spoken very highly of the undrafted guard.
Practices are in full swing for Kerr’s squad, and he apparently has some significant plans for Reaves. The Arkansas native has been getting some reps at the point guard position, which seems to line up with the Lakers’ reported plans to use him more at that spot this coming season.

On this play, he made a nice read in transition and found the Memphis Grizzlies’ Jaren Jackson Jr. for a stuff.

Perhaps the experience of playing for Team USA will lead to Reaves coming into training camp sharp and ready to take another step forward this coming season.
