In its fifth and final exhibition game ahead of the FIBA World Cup, Team USA took on Germany on Sunday.
For a while, it looked like the Americans were in trouble. They were down by as many as 16 points in the second half as former Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schroder sliced them up for 16 points and 10 assists.
But Team USA revved up its defense and rallied for a 99-91 win to give it a 5-0 record in its exhibition schedule.
The star of the day was the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards, who had 34 points. But the Lakers’ Austin Reaves was a bright spot once again, as he contributed 16 points and some highlight plays.

Reaves played the entire fourth quarter and had a big hand in Team USA’s comeback win.
The squad will start group play on Aug. 26 versus New Zealand as the FIBA World Cup officially begins.
