Watch as Ianis Hagi scores hat-trick for Rangers B against Derby

Ianis Hagi netted a hat-trick for Rangers B against Derby County.

The Ibrox misfit - currently playing for the reserve side after returning from a loan with Alaves - has been tipped to leave the club this summer.

However, he showed his quality in a match against a Derby youth side as he starred in a 5-3 win at Auchenhowie while the Rangers first-team played Motherwell at Hampden.

Hagi - who started and played 65 minutes before being withdrawn - found the net with a simple finish, direct free-kick and then volley in the victory.

Archie Stevens had opened the scoring for Rangers with Alex Lowry scoring the fifth goal after a Hagi hat-trick.

Hagi's first strike came after Cole McKinnon picked up a loose ball before sliding through to Hagi to simply finish.

If the first was easy, the second was superb. Hagi doubled his account with a 25-yard free-kick curled into the bottom corner of the net.

And the Romanian internationalist then earned himself the matchball as he hammered home a volley from an Adam Devine cross to the backpost.

Reports last week suggested Hagi could have his Ibrox deal torn up to allow him to move on this summer with the player not involved in Philippe Clement's plans this season.

However, the Ibrox boss insists he is not aware of that situation as he stepped back from his role in departing player discussions.

"That's a rumour. Not one that I have heard until now," said Clement. "I am not busy all this time with what amount of money a player is going out or coming in or all those things - that is not my job to do.

"My job is to see what is necessary for the squad, what profiles we need. And there are other people financially making decisions.

"It's not me making that kind of decision."
