Watch as BBC host Laura Kuenssberg interrupts Nicola Sturgeon 29 TIMES

KNOCK knock. Who’s there? The interrupting BBC host. The interrupting BBC … It’s Laura Kuennsberg.

The corporation’s former political editor, now the host of a flagship show, did herself little favours during an interview with the First Minister on Sunday.

Nicola Sturgeon appeared on the BBC from Aberdeen, as the second day of the SNP conference got underway.

However, she seems to have found it hard to get many words in edgeways, as Kuenssberg interrupted again, and again, and again.

Over the 16-minute interview, the Jouker counted a total of 29 different interruptions from the BBC host.

The pattern of interrupting didn’t go unnoticed – with even the Express picking up a story on it.

“How can Laura Kuenssberg continue to have a platform that is presented as non-bias if she will only let the Tories speak without interruption?” one Twitter user asked.

Compared to the interview with Conservative MP Nadhim Zahawi later in the show, the difference was stark.

Zahawi – who incidentally was given his full government title of “Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster” while Sturgeon had to make do with “SNP Leader” – was interrupted just a fraction of that amount.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon wasn't given her government title by the BBC's display, unlike the Tory MP who appeared later on the same showBBC

Over his eight-minute interview, the Jouker counted just five times that Kuenssberg attempted to cut the top Tory short.

On two of those occasions, he was talking about Nicola Sturgeon.

You really can’t make it up.
