WATCH: Arch Manning scores 5 TDs after replacing injured Quinn Ewers

Texas Longhorns quarterback Quinn Ewers left Saturday’s game against the UTSA Roadrunners with an abdominal injury in the second quarter.

Texas had a 14-0 lead when redshirt freshman quarterback Arch Manning replaced an injured Ewers with 12:19 remaining in the second quarter. Manning promptly threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-0.

Manning followed that up with a 67-yard touchdown run, and he later threw three more touchdown passes in an eventual 56-7 victory.

Manning finished the game 9-of-12 passing for 223 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed three times for 53 yards and a touchdown (his ground total was hurt by a sack, which counts against rushing totals in college). Check out his highlights from the game below.

Arch Manning highlights

Manning, 19, is the nephew of former NFL quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Eli Manning. Arch’s father, Cooper Manning, was a star wide receiver in high school who had his football career cut short by spinal stenosis.

The severity of the Ewers injury is not yet known, but we might be seeing more of Manning in the coming weeks. The earliest Arch Manning would be eligible for the NFL draft is 2026. Texas (3-0) will face Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks (2-0) next week.
