Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson have already started building a strong connection. They hooked up on the first play from scrimmage Saturday against the Giants.
On the second drive on offense for the Jets, the two got together again to finish off the possession in style, with a 14-yard touchdown, marking the first touchdown pass for Rodgers as a member of the New York Jets.
Yes, the touchdown came against the second team for the Giants but, as we know, this is the first game action for a lot of the Jets starters this preseason. Getting off to a fast start was both expected and still exciting before the regular season gets underway. As expected, that was Rodgers’ final pass of the night. He finished 5/8 for 47 yards and the touchdown with a 118.2 passer rating.
