Deion Sanders has made it a personal mission to ingratiate himself with his new team, community and apparently mascot in Colorado. “Prime Time” has never shied away from confrontation and fear just isn’t something the public has seen from the Hall of Famer in his legendary career.
But it appears the one thing that can make Sanders blush is a 1,200-pound buffalo.
Colorado released a video Monday that showed Sanders meeting Ralphie, the school’s mascot, for the first time. The coach was a bit sheepish—to say the least—when he tried feeding Ralphie.
“Lord, that tongue is like a brick,” Sanders said.

Things took a hilarious turn when Ralphie’s team asked Sanders if he wanted to see Ralphie run. Sanders enthusiastically said, “Yeah I wanna see it,” but he didn’t know they wanted him to stay inside Ralphie’s trailer for when the massive beast comes running back in.
Sure enough, Ralphie went running around Folsom Field as Sanders waited in the trailer and then, the buffalo came at him at full speed.
“Oh no, I’m not standing in here while this thing is coming at me full speed,” Sanders said. “OH NO! NO! NOOOOO!”
The next thing you know, Sanders is cowering behind his cameraman as Ralphie returns to the trailer.
“Ralphie was intimidating,” Sanders said. “That was intimidating.”
