Parents in a small Washington state community are demanding answers after a school staff member was arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving a student.

According to the King County Sheriff's Office, detectives arrested a male staff member at Skykomish K-12 School on 6 March as part of an investigation into the alleged rape of a child. The suspect was booked into the King County Jail while authorities continue to investigate the case, per KOMO News.
