Nothing gets past Michael Penix Jr.
The Washington quarterback helped his team get right back in the College Football Playoff national championship game at the end of the first half, as he fired a touchdown pass to wide receiver Jalen McMillan, which cut the Michigan lead to 17—10 at the time.
Not only did Penix redeem himself for overthrowing a potential walk-in touchdown earlier in the contest, but he also did something very impressive right before throwing the touchdown pass.
With the pocket collapsing, Penix appeared to point out the fact that Huskies receiver Rome Odunze was being held a split-second before connecting with McMillan for the score. SportsCenter shared a video of the play to its account on X, formerly Twitter.

It's hard enough to stand tall in the pocket and find a receiver with the pass rush bearing down. The fact that Penix was able to do that and play referee at the same time?
It’s no wonder the Huskies signal-caller is skyrocketing up NFL draft boards.
