Online sleuths are linking James Blunt to the unnamed British singer in Hayden Panettiere's account of a traumatic yacht encounter, but the actress never publicly identified him, and there is no confirmed evidence that Blunt was the man involved.

The speculation has surged following Panettiere's death at 36 on 16 August 2026 and the release of Blunt's horror-themed music video two days earlier.
