Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 brings back the Battle Royale Solos mode that many players have been asking for while also shaking up the weapon meta.
The headline addition in the Warzone Season 4 patch notes is the return of BR Solos, giving solo queue players a dedicated experience on both Verdansk and Avalon. Raven Software has also targeted some of the game’s strongest weapons and attachments, nerfing dominant picks like the Kogot-7 SMG and MK.78 LMG while buffing suppressors to encourage more diverse loadouts.
Battle Royale Solos included in Warzone Season 4 patch notes
The biggest gameplay addition in the Warzone Season 4 patch notes is the return of Battle Royale Solos. Players can now drop into solo matches across both Verdansk and Avalon through a map rotation playlist.
This is one of the best changes in the update, since Solos has always been a core BR experience, and its absence left solo players with limited options. Having dedicated BR Solos back means you no longer need to rely on squad-fill or alternative playlists when you want a true one-versus-all experience on Verdansk or Avalon.
Warzone Season 4 also improves map flow by increasing Buy Station availability. Buy Stations have been increased from 49 to 64 on Avalon, and from 49 to 51 on Verdansk, while locations have been refreshed on both maps.

REV-46 receives range, ADS speed, and lower torse multiplier buffs Dravec-45 gains increased headshot multipliers and rate of fire MPC-25 gains increased headshot multipliers and ADS speed M10 Breacher receives slight buffs to medium damage range, ADS speed, and ADS spread benefit at full charge Flip Mags attachment capacity increased from 35 to 40 rounds with faster reload speeds for these ARs: – AK-27 – DS20 Mirage – EGRT-17 – M15 Mod 0 – MK35 ISR – MXR-17 – Peacekeeper Mk1 – Voyakt KT-3 |
Kogot-7 receives damage and range reductions MK.78 LMG gets heavily nerfed with lower damage, reduced effective ranges, and slower bullet velocity |
Raven said weapon balance remains relatively healthy, but Season 4 introduces several notable changes aimed at increasing attachment and weapon variety.
The biggest attachment update affects suppressors. Rather than having players automatically choose the Monolithic Suppressor, the devs have buffed suppressors across the board by granting damage range benefit to all Black Ops 7 assault rifles, SMGs, and LMGs. At the same time, the Monolithic Suppressor’s damage range and bullet velocity bonuses have been reduced.
The Kogot-7 and MK.78 have been among the strongest weapons in Season 3, so the nerfs should open the door for more viable loadouts. Combined with the suppressor changes, Season 4 looks set to create a more varied meta rather than one dominated by a handful of weapons.
Warzone Ranked Play changes in Season 4
Season 4 also introduces several updates to Warzone Ranked Play, including a new map, matchmaking improvements, and loot pool adjustments. Fortune’s Keep has been added to the Resurgence Ranked Play map rotation, supporting up to 48 players across 16 squads. The current Ranked Play map pool now includes:
- Fortune’s Keep
- Rebirth Island
- Haven’s Hollow
Raven Software has updated Ranked Play matchmaking to more consistently enforce intended skill brackets. The goal is to reduce skill disparities within matches and create more reliable Skill Rating (SR) progression, particularly at higher ranks.
Meanwhile, several items have been added or re-enabled in Ranked Play:
- Point Turrets re-enabled at a rare spawn rate
- Counter UAVs added to ground loot
- Echo Units re-enabled at a rare spawn rate
On the other hand, the following Season 4 items are restricted from Ranked Play while Raven evaluates their impact on game balance:
- Grimhawk special weapon
- Advanced Self Revive
- Shadowlink Contract
