Warzone Season 1 launches on Dec. 4, 2025 with the Black Ops 7 integration, and introduces Haven’s Hollow as a new Resurgence map. A lot more content is coming to BR with the BO7 integration, and here’s everything you need to know.
Some key updates include mandatory TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot for PC players, enhanced Ricochet anti-cheat with boosting detection, and email verification rewards such as the Veiled Aurora camo plus double XP tokens.
The Battle Pass spans 14 pages with over 100 rewards, including the NX Ravager Crossbow from the Rally Point event. Having that said, here’s a complete breakdown of the Warzone Season 1 patch notes.

New map and modes
Haven’s Hollow is the brand-new Resurgence map, which is slightly larger than Rebirth Island but distinctly different in theme. Drawing from the rugged Appalachian region, this map features iconic areas like Coal Depot, Lumbermill, the Research Center, and the central “Mansion,” each designed for fast-paced, close-quarters combat.

Adding to the overall map experience, Verdansk introduces the Signal Station near Military Base, a new POI where you can complete a heat map quest to reveal enemy locations briefly. The Factory location gets a remaster reminiscent of the old Stadium area, complete with missile silos that create high-risk zones for loot or combat engagements.
Season 1 also launches with Open Matchmaking across all non-Casual modes. For LTMs, the patch brings Quads Buyback BR, where players can redeploy teammates for strategic comeback potential, and Amped BR later in the season.
Movement and loadout changes
One of the most talked-about changes in Season 1 is the overhaul of player movement mechanics. Tactical Sprint is removed to emphasize skill and perk choice. Instead, the Sprinter perk delivers Tactical Sprint and agility benefits alongside perks like Reload On The Move and the carry capacity increase, akin to former Gung-Ho perks.
The Mountaineer perk now includes Combat Roll, allowing players to roll quickly to evade damage or traverse quickly while negating fall damage effectively.

Loadouts see a major rework to reduce clutter and boost balance. Wildcards are gone, and Overkill is granted by default, so players can carry two primary weapons without needing a Wildcard. The maximum number of attachments players can equip on their weapons is now capped at five.
Several loadout items formerly available in custom classes now spawn exclusively in the ground loot pool. For example, Stims are no longer in the loadout but are buffed when found on the ground for quicker healing.
Gear, Perks, and Equipment changes
Season 1 significantly adjusts the gear and perks. Stim Shots now offer instant removal of Flash and Concussion effects, while Smoke Grenades extinguish Molotov flames.
New gear includes the Needle Drone, which flies toward enemies and explodes on impact. The Point Turret automatically fires at enemy targets within range. Phantom Signal is a new tactical item that marks enemies on your compass for a few seconds, boosting team coordination on pick plays. Pinpoint Grenades reveal enemies behind walls temporarily, and the Psych Grenade deploys decoy player ghosts to confuse opponents.
Reactive Armor EMPs speed up plate regeneration. Adaptive replaces old Ghost perks by trading sprint speed for improved ADS and weapon handling when plated up. Survivor guarantees a one-shot headshot against enemies wearing full armor.
Additionally, perks become lootable in the world, allowing players to snag Scavenger (magazine refill on kills) and potentially turn the tide during matches via smart contract play and loot management.
Battle Pass highlights and economy changes

The Season 1 Battle Pass is packed with value and new rewards, featuring over 100 tiers across 14 pages. It includes BlackCell perks upfront for early advantage and free-to-use base weapons. A flagship reward is the NX Ravager Crossbow, introduced to the Warzone ecosystem via the Rally Point mission event.
Season 1 also integrates double XP tokens and an exclusive Veiled Aurora camo as rewards for email verification.
The in-game economy standardizes purchase prices. Redeploys cost $4,000, Armor plates are set at $300, and Echo Units are $1,500. Buyback timers in Verdansk are shortened post-Gulag for faster respawns.
Loot rotations remove pre-BO7 guns and several classic equipment types, such as Gas Masks, instead favoring tactical gear like Claymores. New weapons such as the Ryden 45K and M15 MOD 0 are all unlockable from day one. However, the Season 1 patch notes did not include any weapon balancing updates.
