Warzone 2 players will finally be able to check their player stats, including their KD ratio, following the soon-to-be-released mid-season update.
The first major update for Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will go live later this week, with the Season 1 Reloaded mid-season update set to be available on all platforms from 6pm GMT / 1pm ET / 10am PT on Wednesday, December 14. Raven Software has confirmed that the key feature, which was MIA at launch, is coming to Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 along with a whole raft of changes.
Players can look forward to the first-ever Special Ops Raid, the return of an iconic map in Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, a new POI in Warzone 2.0 and DMZ, a Rocket League-like mini-game, a Mini Royale playlist, new operators, new weapons and – most importantly – players will finally be able to track their stats in Warzone 2.0.
Why and how this simple feature wasn't in the battle royale game to begin with, I don't know. But hey! Better late than never.
Bad news for good players
Immediately following the launch of the Season 1 Reloaded mid-season update, players will be able to track their complete combat record in Warzone 2.0 including kills, deaths, wins and more. But it's not all good news, particularly for the more hardcore players out there.
When the Warzone 2.0 combat records go live, your stats will not include any kills, deaths or wins that were recorded between the launch of the game on November 16 and the beginning of Season 1 Reloaded on December 14. So, if you've worked your behind off to accumulate as many wins and kills as possible up until now, then I don't really know what to say. Unlucky, I guess? At least you've got some practice in.
If you want to check your Warzone 2.0 KD before the launch of Season 1 Reloaded, there's a janky workaround method that involves some basic math, but does allow you to work out your KD ratio as it stands, before the stats are officially made available.
I expect that the Warzone 2.0 compact records will be available in the stats section, which appears in the Warzone 2.0 sub-menu – the same sub-menu that allows you to change your settings and invite your friends to games. Currently, this menu only shows player stats from Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, but it'll likely display the extra info following the mid-season update.
