Activision has released an update for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 that seems to have fixed the annoying Social menu issues.
From the moment Call of Duty: Warzone 2 launched this week, players have experienced issues with the Social menu section of the settings. Most players couldn't even access the Warzone 2.0 Social menu at all, getting kicked out as soon as they tried to enter. The Social menu is supposed to be the primary way to invite friends to your party and game, so it was frustrating for many, including me!
Luckily, a workaround was quickly discovered to invite friends to a party in Warzone 2.0 and DMZ, so the experience hasn't been impacted too badly – but it's still an inconvenience. When you add this issue to the confusing UI and menu navigation in Warzone 2.0, it's not a great combination. We'll go over the update that fixed the issue and how to invite players to your party.
Warzone 2 social menu bug fixed
Late last night, the Infinity Ward Twitter account confirmed that an update had been rolled out for Warzone 2.0, fixing the Social menu and finally making it accessible across Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0.
"We've just deployed a fix that makes the Social menu accessible across MWII and Warzone2," the developer tweeted. "Please restart your game if you continue to experience issues."
So if you're still running into problems with the Social menu, restart your game. Whether you're playing on PC, Xbox, or PlayStation, the issues with the Social menu should be fixed. If not, don't worry, simply follow these instructions to invite your friends to your party.
How to invite friends to your party in Warzone 2
If this Warzone 2.0 update hasn't fixed your Social menu issues, here's the easiest way to invite your friends to your party, so you can drop into Al Mazrah without wasting any time.
Tab across to the Voice Channels sub-menu on the top right of the screen, click on the party voice channel, and you should have the option to invite any of your friends to your party, as long as they're online. Once you've done that, make sure you enable voice chat within the party channel, and you should then be able to communicate with each other and with other players, using Warzone 2.0's Proximity Chat feature.

From there, you can go through the playlists, choose whether you want to play in Duos, Trios or Quads, and once you've selected an option, you should see a new screen showing all of the people in your party. At this stage, in the bottom left corner of the screen, it should show a little window, which should indicate that you're searching for a lobby.
And then all that's left to do is choose a drop location, grab your custom loadout and be the last team standing in Al Mazrah. Happy hunting!
