Warzone 2 Season 4 is almost upon us, with the game's latest content update set to introduce a new Resurgence map and a number of other additions.
Warzone 2 is suffering right now. Despite Season 3 Reloaded introducing a number of new features including a Warzone Ranked mode, players are still unhappy with some of the core mechanics of the game, with even professional Warzone players like Fifakill calling out the ridiculous time to kill in gunfights.
But as Season 4 approaches, the game's developers have revealed that the title will be getting a new Resurgence map, new weapons and new operators, and there will be changes to Al Mazrah too. Interestingly, Activision has also altered the branding for the game, with the Warzone 2 logo being replaced with simply 'Warzone' ahead of the launch of the new update. But, it will have to do more than that to bring the game's excitement levels back to what it was during the original Call of Duty: Warzone era.
Warzone 2 Season 4 confirmed start date
Warzone 2 Season 4 will launch on Wednesday, June 14 at around 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT on all platforms including PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The update itself should be downloaded automatically shortly prior to Season 4 going live, but the file size is yet to be confirmed.

Activision has already confirmed the Warzone 2 Season 4 content roadmap ahead of next week detailing all of the new content players can expect to see following the launch of the new season, including a new map, new weapons, new operators and more.

Warzone 2 Season 4 Vondel map
From the screenshots shared so far, it seems that the new Vondel Resurgence map is a medium-size map that looks very similar to the Amsterdam mission from the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign. The map will support DMZ and Resurgence modes at launch, with Battle Royale modes set to be introduced mid-season.
The map will support 18 players in DMZ and 72 players in Resurgence, and is filled with urban areas, canals, large structures, a train station, cafes and more, with 15 POIs in total. Vondel will also play host to a brand new dynamic fog feature, which will be present in all game modes, with the level of fog dynamically changing as the match progresses.
Vondel will be available in both DMZ and Resurgence modes alongside Ashika Island, with Al Mazrah continuing to host core Battle Royale modes and Massive Resurgence.
