Plunder has disappeared from Warzone 2, mere weeks after it was reintroduced. But don't worry as it's coming back sooner than you would think.
Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded launched yesterday and brought along the new Warzone Ranked mode and the new DMZ Koschei Complex experience with it. But amidst all of the excitement of these new additions, Activision took Plunder out of Warzone 2. The highly requested Plunder mode from the original Warzone made its return to the game less than a month ago and already it's been bumped out of the in-game rotation, presumably to funnel more players into the Warzone Ranked beta.
Currently only the Warzone Ranked beta (which is only available as Battle Royale Trios at the time of writing), Solos and Quads Battle Royale, and finally the full batch (Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads) is available for Ashika Resurgence according to info posted on the Call of Duty Blog alongside the Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded patch notes.
When is Plunder back in Warzone 2
According to the aforementioned Call of Duty Blog post, players will be able to get black to plundering on Wednesday, May 16, when Plunder Quads is set to return, along with Warzone Ranked Battle Royale Trios, Mini-Royale Solos, Battle Royale Quads, Ashika Resurgence Solos and Trios and Massive Resurgence Duos and Quads.
So you're in luck and don't have to wait very long at all to parachute in and make some money with your pals. But you also won't have very long to do it either.
In an even more baffling move, Plunder is only back for a week once it returns on Wednesday, May 17, as on Wednesday, May 24 Warzone 2 will once again strike the mode from rotation leaving players stuck with Ranked Battle Royale Trios, regular Battle Royale Duos, Trios, and Quads, while the two Resurgence modes swap around with Ashika Resurgence getting Duos and Quads, and Massive Resurgence allowing Solos and Trios.
Activision haven't unveiled its schedule further than Wednesday, May 24, so hopefully Plunder will return once again the following week on Wednesday May 31 alongside the TimTheTatman and Nickmercs skins, and players won't be forced to go without their favourite modes for weeks at a time.
