The indefinite suspension of Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has now extended to 10 games, and there doesn’t appear to be a specific end date. As Green takes the time needed to handle business off the court and the Warriors continue with the season, the initial belief was that he’d be around the team during his suspension.
That hasn’t been the case, according to coach Steve Kerr. The Warriors coach said Green hasn’t been in the facility and that they’ve spoken through text messages, according to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater.
“We’ve been giving him his space, he’s been giving us ours,” Kerr said, according to Slater.
The news of Green’s absence from the team facilities is a surprise. He wasn’t banned from being around the team, and general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. even said that he would still be in the building and with his teammates previously, according to ESPN’s Kendra Andrews.
It comes as a bit of a surprise, but pairing that with the fact that there’s no update at all from Kerr or the organization makes it even more noteworthy.
