Warriors’ Steph Curry and Chris Paul out for preseason contest vs. Kings on Sunday

Since being traded to the Golden State Warriors in a blockbuster at the start of the offseason, Chris Paul has already suited up alongside his new teammate Steph Curry twice in the preseason. However, heading into game three of the preseason campaign, the veteran point guards will get the night off on Sunday.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, both Paul and Curry have been ruled out for Sunday’s preseason contest against the Sacramento Kings at Golden 1 Center.

On Friday night against the Los Angles Lakers, Curry got hot early, scoring 18 points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field with a pair of made triples from beyond the arc. Curry added four assists, three rebounds, a steal and a block in 21 minutes against the Lakers.

Paul tacked on six points and four assists in 20 minutes in his second preseason game as a Warrior.

The Warriors will be back on the floor in the preseason with a rematch against the Kings on Wednesday at Chase Center.
