Coming off a run to the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors quickly transformed into offseason mode with the NBA draft looming. After holding three picks in the lottery during the last two consecutive drafts, the Warriors shifted back down the board to No. 28 in the 2022 edition of draft night.
While there was speculation that the Warriors could potentially move the pick, Bob Myers and Steve Kerr made the decision to add another prospect to their young core that already features Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody and James Wiseman.
With the No. 28 overall pick in the 2022 draft, the Warriors selected Patrick Baldwin Jr. out of UW Milwaukee.
