Warriors land Duke’s Wendell Moore Jr. in latest For The Win NBA mock draft

While the push to the postseason is heating up in the NBA, the peak of March Madness is set for college basketball with the Final Four. During the men’s basketball NCAA Tournament, some of the top prospects for the upcoming NBA draft have been on display.

In the latest NBA mock draft from USA TODAY’s For The Win, the Golden State Warriors landed one of the tournament’s standouts.

With the No. 28 overall pick, Bryan Kalbrosky of For The Win penned Duke’s Wendell Moore Jr. to the Warriors. According to Kalbrosky, Moore is one of the more versatile prospects on both offense and defense.

Via For The Win:

Duke’s Wendell Moore took a few years to find his footing but now, among players in this class, he is one of the more versatile prospects on both sides of the ball. Plus, although Moore already has three seasons of collegiate experience, he is actually only two months older than Kentucky freshman TyTy Washington.

Moore improved nearly each and every aspect of his game, even running the offense at points for the Blue Devils. That was more than enough to put him on the radar as a draftable player in the first round.

In his third season with the Blue Devils, Moore Jr. is averaging 13.5 points on 50.8% shooting from the field with 5.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest. In four games through the NCAA tournament, Moore Jr. is averaging 13.5 points on 54.8% shooting from the floor with 3.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 33.8 minutes per game.

Moore Jr. and Duke will meet rivals North Carolina in the Final Four on Saturday. The rivalry is set to tip off in New Orleans at 5:49 p.m. PT.
