Mike Dunleavy has made some big moves since taking over as the Golden State Warriors general manager, from re-signing Draymond Green to a four-year deal, swapping Jordan Poole for Chris Paul, and acquiring Cory Joseph in free agency, along with Dario Saric. However, Dunleavy’s job isn’t done, as the Warriors’ roster still needs to be rounded out.
According to some Warriors fans on Reddit, former wing Otto Porter Jr. could potentially be waived by the Toronto Raptors during the summer or the early part of the season. Those same fans would like to see Golden State bring their former player back to San Francisco if the opportunity arises.
What are your thoughts on bringing back Otto?

Porter Jr. was with the Warriors throughout the 2021-22 NBA season, participating in 63 regular-season games, averaging 8.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 46.4% from the field and 37% from deep. Once the postseason rolled around, Porter Jr. participated in 19 games for Golden State en route to the only championship of his career.
In order to acquire Porter Jr. – assuming he does eventually get waived by the Raptors – he would likely need to agree on a veteran minimum deal for the current season before hitting free agency in 2024. That sort of deal could work for both sides, Porter Jr. could rebuild some value while contending for a championship, while Golden State would have valuable depth at the small and power forward positions.
A lot would need to happen in order for Porter Jr. to end up back with the Warriors, and that all rests on how the Raptors decided to move forward with their current roster and whether they look to re-tool or rebuild. Yet, if Porter Jr. does become available, Golden State will likely be at the top of his list of preferred destinations.
