After getting two days off following their first loss of the season, the Golden State Warriors will hit the road for their first test away from Chase Center of the season in a playoff rematch against the Sacramento Kings.
The Warriors are coming off a loss to the Phoenix Suns in the season opener on Tuesday, 108-104. Steph Curry led the Warriors with 27 points, but it wasn’t enough to slow down Devin Booker and Kevin Durant. The Warriors struggled to find the bottom of the net, shooting just 35.6% from the field and 23.3% from beyond the arc against the Suns.
The Kings started the season with a 130-114 win over the Utah Jazz. Former Warrior Harrison Barnes tallied 33 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field.
Friday will mark the first meeting between the Kings and Warriors since their playoff battle last postseason. With a historic performance from Curry, in Game 7 the Warriors eliminated the Kings in first round of the playoffs.
