Warrington Wolves have signed experienced St Helens prop Kyle Amor on loan for the remainder of the season.
He is the second front-rower to join the Wolves in 24 hours after they yesterday announced the capture of Wests Tigers’ Thomas Mikaele. Amor, 34, has struggled for game-time with the Super League champions this term but will certainly bolster Warrington’s options as they look to recover from a slow start. A four-time Grand Final winner, he could debut against one of his former clubs - Leeds Rhinos - on Friday week.
Amor has made more than 200 appearances for Saints since they bought him from Wakefield in 2013. He said: “To get back playing is a big thing for me. I wasn’t perhaps getting enough game time as I would have liked to at Saints. And when I got a phone call from Warrington about the opportunity, I could feel myself getting excited again. The Halliwell Jones Stadium has always been one of my favourite places to play at.
